CAMERA WOMEN

A project by Ibtisam Mara’ana, Yoav Gross, Sivan Arbel, and BZ Goldberg

CAMERA WOMEN is a stand-alone feature-length documentary  (with option for TV series) about young Palestinian women who volunteer as videographers documenting human rights violations in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. Despite the double burden of military occupation and a traditional, conservative, patriarchal society, the cameras enable the women to undergo a profound transformation. Many of them become active players in their families and communities, and some even to dare to turn their cameras inwards on their own life stories.
